The Queen has asked me to thank you for your recent letter regarding
the Parliamentary negotiations on ‘the United Kingdom’s withdrawal from its
membership _of,the European Union.‘ .

While careful note has been taken of the views you express, I must tell
you that, as a constitutional Sovereign Her’ Majesty remains strictly non-

political at all times, and therefore this is not a matter in which The Queen
would become involved.

Nevertheless, it vvas iriteresting to know of your, thoughts.
